"Conquest 1453" conquers the box office

Seen by four million, 651 thousand and 715 people in just 18 days of showing, "Conquest 1453" has now become the highest viewed film ever to be released in Turkey.

According to box office statistics in Turkey, in the first four days of its release, one million, 400 thousand and 351 viewers went to see Conquest 1453 (Fetih 1453). Since its February 16th release, the film has sold a total of four million, 651 thousand and 351 tickets. As a result Conquest 1453, which had a 17 million dollar budget and was directed by Faruk Aksoy and produced by Servet Aksoy and Ayşe Germen, has become the all time highest viewed film in Turkey. In second and third place for highest number of viewers are two films from the "Recep İvedik" series which were produced by Faruk Aksoy, with "Recep İvedik 2" in second and "Recep İvedik" in third. Following in fourth and fifth are two other films which managed to break the four million viewers mark; Valley of the Wolves: Iraq and G.O.R.A., respectively.
