The Seventh Contemporary Istanbul, held in a combined 16,000 cubic meter square area at the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Center as well as the Istanbul Congress Center by main sponsors Akbank Private Banking and joint sponsors Zorlu Center and Yıldız Holding will run until November 25th. The fair is anticipated to host 70,000 visitors over its five days of showing.
The fair will be showing works from 102 contemporary art galleries, 57 of which are international and 45 national galleries and 612 artists. Also showing at Contemporary Istanbul are a number of the world's most prestigious art houses, including Marlborough Gallery, Haunch of Venison and MaM-Mario Mauroner Contemporary Art.
The combined value of the works on display at Turkey's largest art fair is 120 million dollars and 66 percent of the pieces are expected to find owners.
