Deniz Leone to perform in honor of Gallipoli's dead

World-famous tenor maestro Luciano Pavarotti's student Deniz Leone will perform at the Leyla Gencer Opera and Art Center on March 19 at 8 p.m. in honor of the soldiers who died during the Battle of Gallipoli.

Leone's opera recital will include an excellent repertoire full of famous arias and songs. Internationally renowned for his roles as Il Duca di Mantova in Verdi's "Rigoletto" and as Sir Edgardo in Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor," Deniz Leone's repertoire consists of 12 operas.

Leone has performed in almost every European country including world-famous Italian opera houses such as the Teatro la Fenice, Teatro Massimo, Teatro Bellini, Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi, Teatro di San Carlo, and Teatro dell' Opera di Roma as well as The Vienna State Opera and Theater an der Wien in Austria.
