Artists intervene in masterpieces at special show

Having created an alternative area for art lovers in Istanbul at the Windowist Tower since 2016, Karbon Gallery is saluting the new season with an exhibition titled, "Artistic Interventions." A total of 15 master figures from the Turkish arts circle, including Balkan Naci İslimyeli, Tülin Onat and Devrim Erbil, will meet for the Bubi project in the exhibition, which opened on Oct. 11 and will continue until Dec. 29, presenting works that they have produced in a chromogen press to art lovers.

Artists explore in their works

The "artistic interventions" of artists that have been applied on the chromogen presses of their authentic works are being brought together in an exhibition which displays the works of Adem Genç, Balkan Naci İslimyeli, Bedri Baykam, Bubi, Devrim Erbil, Ergin İnan, Güngör Taner, Halil Akdeniz, Meriç Hızal, Nur Koçak, Özdemir Altan, Tomur Atagök, Tülin Onat, Yusuf Taktak and Yücel Dönmez. These long-lasting works which reveal the desired colors and patterns of the artists are qualified for museum display and being presented upon the approval, numbering and signing of the artists. The exhibition can be visited from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.

New compounds of contemporary art

The Karbon Gallery brings contemporary art together with depictions of ordinary life. Named after carbon, one of the basic chemical elements of life, the gallery brings the newest compounds of contemporary art together with carbon and other elements amid aims to create an area where art lovers can escape the stress of their daily lives and come face-to-face with art.
