Yücel Dönmez, one of Turkey's most authentic and interesting artists of the 21st century, has an exhibition at Türker Art, "Deepizm," which began on Dec. 7. Dönmez designs the invisible world and presents aesthetic values with his exhibition on a journey to the center of matter.
A representative of abstract art, Dönmez paints with a technique he developed inspired by marbling, calligraphy and ornamental art. Dönmez deals with place, space and nonentity feelings in his work. Describing his work as a journey that he begins with light and color, he makes references to the center, leaving color lines and vibrations behind with growing halos.
He works to discover the variety of the universe, the direction and the speed of the basic unit of matter through imagination. The forms that he uses are the unprecedented and unapplied images of mystical geometry.
Including statues and paintings, "Deepizm" is open until Jan. 7, 2018 at Türker Art.
