The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has initiated an online application called "Sanat Cepte" (Art on Your Cell) for art lovers to instantly follow events from their cell phones.

According to a written statement by the ministry, the General Directorate of Fine Arts has created the mobile application to announce performance art events, concerts and exhibitions more quickly and effectively.

The application, bringing together art with the ever-changing and evolving technology, will communicate current information on art activities and events in different cities in Turkey.

The application will provide details on the events, tickets and directions and allow the user to share the event on social media and also offer the chance to win free tickets to certain events. The app can be accessed via Google Play Store and App Store.
