Turkey beat Great Britain 76-69 in Spain's Tenerife late Friday, winning the European Wheelchair Basketball Championship.
They took on Great Britain in the finals at 8:30 p.m. and had a decisive win against the champions of the last three tournaments.
The Crescent-Stars had lost to Great Britain in 2013 and 2015, and Italy in 2009 in the finals. Turkey had beaten Great Britain in the group stage.
Turkey had defeated Italy in the quarterfinal and Germany in the semifinal.
