As Valentine's Day approaches, research shows that almost three and a half million people are looking for love over the internet in Turkey. The market value of websites offering meeting, dating or even marriage services has now surpassed 3.5 billion dollars. That market is only expected to grow in 2011, to the tune of four billion dollars. AMERICA TAKES THE RECORD "Evlilikmerkezi.com" Director Ebru Selvi states, "All over the world, these websites tend to be used most by urbanites, and singles that are educated and employed. Every year, throughout the world, one million couples meet and get married through these sorts of websites."
In America alone, there are approximately 1,500 online dating and personal ad websites.
