An SME in Turkey has found an interesting solution for cellulite. Ekoten’s groundbreaking innovative tights have two million capsules contained in every square centimeter of fabric.

İzmir's Ekoten has created a number of products that go beyond the imagination of most in the textile sector. With a capacity to produce 20 million meters, the firm has signed onto a number of innovative fabrics such as insect repelling, lavender or lemon scented, color-changing, to cellulite reducing. The company's success has been widely echoed in the global market.
The firm's fabric technology rivals those of a number of global giants. Perhaps the most interesting product designed by the company is cellulite-reducing tights. The method used for producing the fabric involves a special technique where micro capsules are added to the fibers of the fabric. When the product made from the fabric is worn, the micro capsules burst releasing a cosmetic product into the skin. Exercise is not necessary; the process works even during daily activities. Every square centimeter contains two million capsules, containing an anti-cellulite material. The product, which is now on sale, has been approved by clinical tests conducted by France's Intertek laboratories
CHAMELEON FABRICS

Another product the company is seeing much interest in is color-changing fabric, a process developed after three years of Research and Development. The heat-sensitive fabric turns one color in cold weather and transforms into another in hot weather. The color-changing fabric, innovated through extensive research, has broken a number of taboos. As is well known in the summer months, black fabric tends to increase in heat through absorbing the sun. The company's 'ColdBlack' line of fabrics works to reflect the sun, thereby distancing heat and preventing overheating.

Ekoten has over 20 innovations

Nanocapsules used to produce fabrics with creams, and lavender or lemon scented.
Insect and bug repelling fabrics.
Fabrics that do not retain dirt or grease, designed for schools and children.
Antibacterial fabrics used in medical and sportswear.
Specially designed fabrics for firefighters, police and soldiers that are water and flameproof.

For sports and outdoor activities, Coolmax fabrics that breath and are fast-drying.
Thermochromatic fabrics that change color with heat.
Thermal fabrics that retain heat achieved through special weaving method.
Recyclable fabric produced from natural recyclable threads.
Fabrics that protect from the sun's harmful UV rays.
A new concept fabric for suits that contains technology to prevent water or grease absorption.

Smart fabric technology
Explaining that with their varieties of fabrics that are both technologically and environmentally safe they have opened up new areas of competition, Ekoten Chairman of the Executive Board Sabri Ünlütürk, states that they want to be authorities on the smart fabric technology which is quickly spreading all over the world.

Insect repelling clothes
Another item Ekoten engineers are working on is producing fabrics that will repel insects. With a chemical process that does not harm people or nature, the fabric repels insects by emitting a smell only detainable by bugs. The most important factor with this product is that the fabric solely repels insects and does not harm them.
