The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold a meeting today for the last time to determine the minimum wages for 2015. The commission, which held its first meeting at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and second meeting at the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations is holding a meeting today again at the Labor and Social Security Ministry. The minimum wage set for 2015 is expected to be announced after the meeting. While Türk-İş requests a fair increase, the Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey demanded the net minimum wage to be fixed at TL 1,800. The Government had proposed a 3 percent increase for the first and second half of the year in its program for 2015.
