Turkish Airlines (THY) and Azerbaijan Airlines have signed a code-sharing agreement that will come into effect on March 29. According to the statement released by THY, the agreement will provide passengers with combined frequent flyer miles, more connection options and allow greater flexibility for travel between the two countries. As part of the agreement, THY will use its own flight code on Azerbaijan Airlines' Baku-Istanbul and Baku-Ankara flights, while Azerbaijan Airlines will use its own flight code on THY's Istanbul-Baku, Istanbul-Nakhchivan, Istanbul-Ganja and Sabiha Gökçen - Baku flights. Furthermore, with the special pro-rata agreement, which has expanded to other destinations beyond Istanbul and Baku, both airlines will offer their passengers a broader transportation network.
