According to a Turkish Statistical Institution (TurkStat) report on household consumption, food service prices increased three times the inflation rate in July compared to same month last year. Some of the ready-made food in the inflation basket has seen increases varying between 11.9 percent and 17.9 percent. Burger prices increased the most as the average price went up from TL 3.5 ($1.2) to TL 4.1. Doner kebab prices saw the second-highest increase as average kebab prices rose from TL 11.6 to TL 13.6. Pide prices increased 13.6 percent on average and soup prices went up from TL 4.2 to TL 4.7.
