Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has signed on as a sponsor of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The games' organizing committee announced yesterday that Mitsubishi Electric will provide the elevators, escalators and moving walkways at Olympic venues. Mitsubishi Electric's level of sponsorship is Tokyo 2020 Official Partner; the second tier of domestic support. It gives Mitsubishi Electric the right to use Olympic logos, mascots and slogans in marketing campaigns.

Mitsubishi Electric, part of the broader Mitsubishi corporation, will celebrate its centenary in 2021, the year after the Olympics.
