The second edition of Turkey Engineering Career Fair (TECF), which has transformed into a national event for engineering students and graduates from all over Turkey, is going to take place for at Beşiktaş's Vodafone Arena on Nov. 14-15.

At TECF'16, young engineers will have an opportunity to meet Turkey's leading companies operating in the field of engineering, industry and technology. Companies will await young minds looking for a successful career in the field and inform them of possible career opportunities.

The fair will also bring the companies and their senior managers together with young talents in tea talk sessions, thus providing some great opportunities for engineering educators, professionals and the participating companies.

The founder of the Career and Talent Management Association, the organizer of the TECF'16, and Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) Career Center President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salim Atay, talking about how the idea of holding the fair at the Vodafone Arena emerged, said the idea of organizing the TECF at Vodafone Arena came about because they thought that the Arena, Turkey's first smart stadium to be the right place where the engineering profession could be best expressed.

He said Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club accepting the proposal to host the TECF with great enthusiasm proves how accurate their choice of location for the fair was, which they think is a great achievement for Turkey.

With this, for the first time in Turkey, a sports club will host a national event that will direct the careers of many young people.

The Beşiktaş club, which will also be represented by it human resources and corporate communications departments at the TECF, will organize two special sessions to share the technical information related to the construction of Vodafone Arena.

In 2015, the first TECF was jointly organized by the İTÜ Career Center and Career and Talent Management Association at İTÜ's Ayazağa Campus. Nearly 7,000 qualified engineers from 37 different universities attended the fair. Companies like Arçelik, Bosch, Çalık Enerji, Hema Endüstri, Sanko Holding, Türk Ekonomisi Bankasi, Türksat, Vestel were the main sponsors of the fair which saw the attendance of 66 national and international firms. This year, 50 national and international firms including Albaraka Türk, Ford, Otosan, Turkish Aerospace Industries, Ziraat Teknoloji, and Roketsan are expected to attend the two-day fair.
