7th Bosporus Summit to focus on Saudi ‘Vision 2030'

Hosting politicians and businesspersons from 90 countries worldwide, the 7th Bosporus Summit will focus on Saudi Arabia and its national transformation program for 2030.

Held by the International Cooperation Platform under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency, this year's summit puts the spotlight on Saudi Arabia, a country that will accredit ministers and ministerial delegations for the purpose of "Vision 2030," a methodological roadmap for economic reform and developmental action in that country.

International Cooperation Platform Founder Cengiz Özgencil said that there will be a high number of participants from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, noting that both countries focus on cooperation in industrial developments. Under the theme of "Global Future, Global Objectives," the summit will explore opportunities for cooperative developments to be made over the next 50 years, hosting bureaucrats from all over the world.

Prime ministers, presidents and ministers from 90 different countries are expected to attend the summit, which will be held in Istanbul from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.

Highlighting that Turkey has endured a challenging year, Özgencil said that delegations from the International Cooperation Platform visited 12 countries this year to prevent the "black propaganda" against Turkey and clarify information for foreigners, informing them that the actual situation in Turkey is not what is depicted in the media.

During the summit, participants will hold bilateral talks on multiple sectors including banking and finance, telecommunications, information technologies, energy, construction, transportation and defense industries. Also, 15 conferences will be held to provide information on a range of topics, from the future of the sports industry to the management of "smart" cities. The British House of Lords and the Saudi princes will attend the summit.
