Qatar Airways has decided to add another stop for its aircraft in Turkey in addition to Atatürk and Sabiha Gökçen airports in Istanbul and Esenboğa Airport in Ankara, the company announced yesterday.
The company said that direct flights to Şakirpaşa Airport in Adana will begin as of Nov. 6, indicating that flights to Adana will be organized three times a week. The company noted in its statement that the airport in Adana will be its fourth stop in Turkey after Atatürk and Sabiha Gökçen airports in Istanbul and Esenboğa Airport in Ankara.
"Adana is a strong region in terms of agriculture and industry," said Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Ekber al-Bekir, adding that the flights will strengthen commercial ties between Qatar and Turkey.
