A contest to award the best Turkish television series has been organized in Chile, the South American country where Turkish series have been garnering increasingly more audiences in recent years.
''Resultados Series Turcas Awards,'' or Results of Turkish Series Awards, honored Tuba Büyüküstün with the title of most successful Turkish actress , via the social network page titled ''Series Turcas'' [Turkish series].
Kara Para Aşk [Black Money Love] was selected as the best Turkish series by Latin American followers with 761 votes, followed by Medcezir, which received 252 votes, and Fatmagül, which collected 247 votes.
The Turkish government has adopted a number of initiatives to develop Turkish TV series exports. Turkish series are famous around the world, with viewers spanning across Central Asia, Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and Latin America.
Incentive programs allow a significant portion of the marketing and promotion expenses of Turkish TV distributors to be met by the Turkish state Treasury.
