Turkey's major weapons manufacturer and defense contracting company ROKETSAN is scheduled to participate in Defense and Security Equipment International (DSEI), the world's leading event that brings together the global defense and security sector to innovate and share knowledge.

The fair will showcase state-of-the-art equipment and systems that navigate the defense and aviation industry. It will run for four days from Sept. 12-15 and provide opportunities to develop international relations and create new business opportunities.

Turkish companies that aim to boost their export capacity with the unique products recently developed will also attend the fair.

Operating in accordance with a vision to become the leading company in rocket and missile systems, ROKETSAN will also showcase its products at the fair, in which it has been participating since 2007, with a view to developing new ties to boost export with a wide array of products.

The Turkish defense firm will promote its cutting-edge technology and products to ally countries in order to respond to the existing and potential needs of customers and expand its market share.

At the ROKETSAN stall this year, laser guided missile Cirit, long-range anti-tank missile UMTAS, laser guided long-range anti-tank missile L-UMTAS, medium-range anti-tank missile OMTAS, SOM-J Standoff Missile for JSF, and the Teber laser guidance kit will be showcased.

The company will also display MAM-L and MAM-c miniature smart ammunition, surface-to-air missile system Hisar, anti-submarine warfare rocket, TRG-122 missile, TRG-300 tiger missile, and pedestal mounted Cirit, a remote weapons station able to fire the Roketsan 2.75" laser guided missile Cirit.

Other leading firms of the Turkish defense industry like ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, BMC, Katmercile, MKEK, Nurol Makina and Otokar will also present their products at DSEI.As a result of the recent growth performance and last year's figures, ROKETSAN was for the first time listed among the Defense News Top 100, which is the world's most prestigious defense industry list. With a turnover of $364 million, the company was ranked 98th in the list.

In terms of turnover, the company has grown by 8 times over the last 12-13 years. The share of exports in turnover hovers around 50 percent on an average of the last three years.

In the 2015 DSEI, ROKSETSAN signed two important partnership agreements. The company struck a deal with Lockheed Martin for the integration of SOM-J, an air-to-surface missile system, to F-35 fighters. Another agreement was signed with Thales - a French multinational company that designs and builds electrical systems and provides services for the aerospace, defense, transportation and security markets - for the use of laser proximity sensor in Hisar-type missiles and its international marketing.

DSEI will welcome 600 participants from more than 40 countries and it expects more than 34,000 visitors. The participants include ministries, expert armed forces personnel, leading defense players and companies.
