The White House deputy spokesman Eric Schultz made a statement regarding the PKK and ISIS terror organizations in a statement on Wednesday. "We condemn PKK's terror attacks against Turkey. We fully respect Turkey's rights to defend itself," he said.
Upon the questions about Turkey and US' agreement on the use of Incirlik Air Base against ISIS, he said that the US welcomed Turkey's decision to grant the US and coalition member countries access to use the base.
Emphasizing that Turkey and the US are close allies and both members of the NATO, "The US supports Turkey's fight against ISIS, including the train and equip programs, intelligence sharing and operational coordinations," he added.
Upon the question about the PKK terror attacks against Turkey, he said that the US condemns PKK attacks. "PKK is a terrorist organization. We fully respect Turkey's rights to self-defense," he further added.
Schultz also called for an end to the violence in the region and emphasized the need to continue the reconciliation process.
