President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed several agreements between Turkey and Kenya during a two-day visit this week. Following a meeting between President Erdoğan and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Presidential Palace in Nairobi, collaboration agreements and protocols were signed in different fields.
The memorandum of understanding between the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) and the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) was signed by Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci and Kenyan Industry, Trade and Cooperative Cabinet Secretary Adan Mohamed.
A memorandum of understanding regarding the implementation of the Mount Elgon multi-purpose water project between Kenyan Water and Irrigation Ministry and Yapı Merkezi Group was signed by Yapı Merkezi Vice Chairman Erdem Arıoğlu and Principal Secretary of Water and Irrigation Ministry Dr. Fred H.K., in the presence of Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci and Kenyan Water and Irrigation Minister Eugene Wamalya.
A collaboration protocol between TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation) and Kenyan counterpart KBC (Kenya Broadcasting Corporation) was signed by TRT Director General Şenol Göka and KBC Managing Director Waithaka Waihenya.
