Turkey´s industrial production rises 6 percent in March

ANKARA — Turkey´s industrial production increased 4.2 percent in March, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Thursday.
The annual calendar adjusted industrial production increased by 4.2 percent compared to same month last year, while the monthly calendar adjusted industrial production decreased by 0.4 percent from the previous month.
Mining output rose 4.3 percent in March, while utilities were up 3.1 percent compared with the same month last year. The manufacturing indexes rose by 4.3 percent in March.
Seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial production increased by 1.4 percent in the first quarter of this year compared with the previous quarter.
In the first quarter of 2014, mining output rose 7.3 percent, while utilities were up 0.3 percent compared with the same quarter of 2013. The manufacturing indexes rose by 4.3 percent in March.
