According to U.S.-based credit rating agency Moody's, the list of the largest country bankruptcies includes Greece twice. Not surprisingly, Greece took the first spot on the list by being unable to pay back a debt of $261 billion in March 2012. Argentina ranked second on the list with a defaulted debt of $82 billion in November 2001. Russia was third, defaulting a $73 billion debt in August 1998. The list featured Greece once again, this time in fourth place, with a $42 billion debt in December 2012. The 11-digit debts end with Jamaica taking fifth place by defaulting on a $9.1 billion debt in February 2013. Jamaica also took sixth place with a $7.9 billion debt in February 2010.
