Exports in Turkish lira increased by 130 percent in January compared to the same month last year. According to the information compiled from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), Turkey's exports in January amounted to approximately $11.3 billion.
Trade that corresponds approximately to $963.8 million of the figure in question was made in the Turkish lira. The amount of export transactions in the Turkish lira in January 2016 was $419.2 million, hence, the 130 percent increase in exports made in Turkish lira in January this year.
A total 47.23 percent of all exports were carried out in euros, followed by dollars with 40.26 percent, the Turkish lira with 8.55 percent, British pounds with 3.12 percent, and the rest in other currencies.
