The Palestinian Health Ministry has signed a twinship agreement with the Turkish Bezmialem University with the aim of upgrading the Palestinian health sector.
In a Wednesday statement, the ministry said that the agreement would be in effect for three years.
Under the agreement, Palestinian Health Ministry employees will receive training at the Turkish university's medical and research institutes, the ministry said.
Turkey offers continual aid to the Palestinian Health Ministry through its state-run and civil society institutions, including the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the Turkish charity Yardimeli Dernegi.
