Turkey's Supreme Election Board (YSK) has revealed important details regarding the upcoming parliamentary elections on June 7th during the draw to determine the listing of political parties over the voting ballot in Ankara on Friday.
Coincidentally, the ruling AK Party and the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) will respectively appear in the 23rd and 22nd places of the voting ballot. Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and pro-Kurdish Democratic Peoples' Party (HDP) were drawn to appear in the 18th and 19th places of the voting ballot.
YSK Chairman Sadi Güven said that as of April 3rd, there are a total of 56,632,889 voters, which has increased by 1,103,258 voters since the presidential elections conducted on August 10, 2014.
Since 2,867,658 of the total voters are registered abroad, voters will be able to take their registered polls in 54 countries and 112 foreign representation offices in periods ranging from one to 24 days. Voters will also be able to cast their votes at customs gates.
Güven said that Turkey's latest elections, the presidential elections conducted in August 10, was reported as reliable and professional by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), despite criticism over the electoral legislation.
