Nine local and foreign companies will be invited to a tender to be initiated for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and telecommunication, engineering, purchasing and construction (EPC) work for the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) Project. According to TANAP's announcement, the companies that will be invited to the preliminary qualification tender to be initiated by TANAP Doğalgaz İletim have been determined. The TANAP Project will carry natural gas extracted from Şah Deniz-2 Field in Azerbaijan through Turkey to Europe. The SCADA and EPC Tender will cover a 1,850-kilometer pipeline that will cross through Turkey. The companies that have been invited to the preliminary qualification tender are ABB Limited, Akkord Industry Construction-Cobra Group consortium, Alcatel-Lucent Teletaş Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. consortium, Havelsan-Milens İletişim İnşaat A.Ş. consortium, Honeywell, Otf Contracting Co. Ltd., Prizma Grup-Thales Italia, Telvent USA-Telvent Energia and Uskom Komünikasyon Sistemleri-Siemens consortium.
