The Turkish Privatization Administration (ÖİB) has opened contracts for the privatization of a combined cycle and gas turbine power plant in Aliağa, a district in the western province of İzmir, and a natural gas plant in Bursa, a large city in the Marmara region. According to the announcement published by the ÖİB in the Official Gazette yesterday, both plants and their immovable properties will be tendered through the sale of assets. The required bid amounts needed to participate in the tender of the combined cycle and gas turbine power plant in Aliağa and the natural gas plant in Bursa are $10 million and $15 million, respectively. The preliminary qualification and bid deadlines for the plants were decided on Oct. 1.
