Gallery İlayda is hosting the fourth annual "Themeless/Contactless" exhibitions until August 31. Similar to the previous "Themeless/ Contactless" exhibitions, the invited artists, who produce works in their own field, turn the exhibition space into an area of experiences. Since the artists present their own pieces, the exhibition gains importance. The artists in the exhibition try to build a bridge between the audience and themselves through different discourses and creative styles without any interference. The exhibition reveals the artists' different point of view within monotype living conditions, with a goal of performing in a themeless manner without any contact with the artificial or regular system, under an unrestricted title. Atilla Galip Pınar questions "awareness," the popular concept of our time, in his paintings. Barış Cihanoğlu studies the individual's uncertainty, striving and the feeling of being caught in between the world and the inner self - in other words the problems and sense of belonging of being in purgatory in his paintings. Aysel Alver wants the audience to experience the loss of moral and ethical values through a psychoanalytical approach to her sculptures. Nurdan Likos emphasizes the "womanhood" based upon other women's stories in her works. Özcan Uzkur constructs simulation "bodies" using lace. Damla Özdemir stands out with her 3-D digital collages. Elvin Karaaslan questions the concept of "perception" by examining the images she has taken from daily life within the frame of piece - holistic relationship. Gazi Sansoy joins the exhibit with his two parallel series that have rather different visual languages and constructs, named "Faceless" and "Miniature." We witness the story of "characters" that have traces of her childhood or from now in Işıl Ulaş's paintings.
