The Side International Culture and Art Festival, which has been taking place in Antalya's Manavgat district for the last 13 years, will be held this year by the Manavgat Municipality with a new name and concept.
After hosting a variety of local and foreign artists in previous years, this year, the Side World Music, Culture and Art Festival will once again welcome worldrenowned artists. The concerts, which will run from Sept. 11 until Sept. 26, will feature a number of different genres and styles.
Within the scope of the festival and "Sunset Concerts," Goran Bregovic, the well-known musician from the Balkans and unforgettable composer of Emir Kusturica films, will take to the stage along with the Antalya State Symphony Orchestra, a reggae band from Jamaica, Latino Cuban from Brazil, Ramona Jazz Band from the U.S. and the Antakya Civilization Choir at the Temple of Apollo. The Istanbul Development Orchestra, which was founded by Garo Mafyan, Buzuki Orhan, the Jim Murple Memorial - a group from France that have performed at some of the world's major festivals - and Hakan Aysev, one of Turkey's most celebrated opera singers will perform at the huge stage at the Side Harbor City Square.
Fire of Anatolia will close the occasion on the last night of the Culture and Art Festival.
