Pera Film begins the new season with an energetic and exiting program titled "We Rule the Streets: Life, Art, Music". The program which is held parallel to the exhibition "Language of the Wall: Graffiti / Street Art", offers an insight to the street, its culture and the life on the street. As Norman Mailer says, "In the environment of the slum, the courage to display yourself is your only capital."
The streets which are the veins of the city shelter many: the masses roar, the youth thunder and thus an eclectic culture is born. The selection that features films from different genres and different themes focuses on the permanent relationship between the people and the street. From living to surviving, to creating and performing, to cherishing, listening and moving, each film explores the street through a specific angle. It is time "We Rule the Streets!"
When: Between Sept. 12 and Oct. 3
Where: Pera Museum
