Art galleries from around the world to gather at Golden Horn

The second edition of ArtInternational, the most prestigious contemporary art fair in Turkey, will take place from Sept. 26 to 28 at the Haliç Congress Center. Regarded as one of the biggest art events of the season, the Fair will host 80 distinguished galleries from 24 countries and works by nearly 400 artists. The works of renowned performance artist Marina Abramovic will also be displayed at the Fair.Abramovic, who has been pushing her body's limits and shocking the audience for the last 40 years, produced her most well known works with her partner, Ulay. Abramovic's 1978 video work "AAA - AAA" is one of them.The artist's nineminute video performance with her partner Ulay dwells upon the relationship of two lovers. The relationship seems equal in the beginning, yet as the time passes, the balance starts to shift. "AAA -AAA" will be displayed on a stand of one of the biggest galleries, the U.K Lisson Gallery. "Artist Portrait with a Rose," a 2013 photo by Abramovic, will be on sale at the Vienna-based Galerie Krinzinger as part of the fair as well.
