Exceptional state of Istanbul displayed at exhibition

Young photographer Berk Demirbas opened his first solo exhibition, "Exceptional City," on Sept. 16 at ArkeoPera. The exhibition features photographs that were taken based on the book "Istanbul: The Exceptional State of the Exceptional City" by Ayse Çavdar and Pelin Tan. The artists who started to work on his project in 2013 aims to document the Istanbul's current exceptional state after being spoiled by urban transformation.
