PG Art Gallery hosts veteran artist Kemal Tufan's latest sculpture exhibition "Dictionarium," which will run until the end of April. The exhibition showcasing a series of pen-formed, cage-like sculptures plays with the structural features of literature and art of sculpture. Instead of using metaphors as a direct way of expression, the artist examines all the elements that form metaphors and creates a new and unique form. He reconstructs the surfaces of the sculptures by installing sign language and braille on it, emphasizing the etymological relationship between weaving and text. Holding a degree from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Faculty, Tufan does not consider pen as only an instrument for writing but also as a tool which helps us to record our recollection and story.
