Italian director Giovanni Veronesi's comedy-drama film "L'ultima Ruota del Carro" (The Fifth Wheel) will be screened at the Istanbul Italian Culture Center, also known as Casa d'Italia. Ernesto (Elio Germano) is an ordinary man who pursues his passion without forgetting the real and important values in life. Due to his country's worsening economic situation, he moves from one job to another and works as a driver, a cook at a primary school, floor layer, stand-in, and shipper. With his friend Giacinto, he takes the audience on a journey through important stages of Italian history from the 1970s to the present. Veronese carefully examines the values and shortcomings of Italy. Screened at the 2013 Rome Film Festival, "The Fifth Wheel" depicts the difficulties of a man in a humorous way. The film will be shown in Italian with Turkish subtitles.
