Pop art painting workshop for children throughout August

Children aged between 4 and 12 will indulge in painting workshops on Pop Art of the 1960s at İstinye Park Shopping Mall throughout this month. They will learn about the famous images of Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns and Roy Lichtenstein. Children will be asked to make pop art-inspired flowers during the Warhol workshop on Aug. 12 and 26. Painter and sculptor Jasper Johns will be the next focus of the workshops on Aug. 13 and 27. One of America's foremost artists, Johns is known for his drawings and paintings of numbers. While participants will design their own painting of numbers, the last workshops on Aug. 14 and 28 will cover the work of Lichtenstein, best known for boldly colored parodies of comic strips and advertisements.
