The 52nd International Antalya Film Festival - also known as the Turkish Oscars - has been postponed by a month to the end of November, the municipality of the southern province of Antalya announced Friday. The event was postponed to Nov. 29-Dec. 6 due to the Nov. 1 general elections and the G20 summit scheduled for Nov. 15-16 in Antalya, the municipality said in a statement. The famous festival, which was until this year called the International Golden Orange Film Festival, was originally scheduled for Oct. 18-24. "The G20 summit is the most important political organization in the world. This change in the dates has been deemed necessary to strengthen the position of these two important events amid the G20 and the upcoming general elections," the statement said. The 16th International Piano Festival has also been postponed for the same reasons to Nov. 17-29, it added. The Piano Festival was originally scheduled to run from Sept. 26 to Oct. 18.
