The daughter of a ballerina and a Russian engineer, Michelle Gurevich grew up in Toronto and the U.S. listening to a huge music archive enriched with the rhythms of the Soviets and the 1970s. Chinawoman is intimate and serious at the same time due to her intense lyrics and plain vocal performance and leaving her mark on audiences with her ballads.
