Akbank Art Center is continuing to welcome world famous guitarists and young talents in January. Within the Akbank Art Days series, world renowned Italian composer and Turkey enthusiast Carlo Domeniconi will perform today at the Akbank Art Center. Domeniconi taught at the Istanbul State Conservatory from 1977 to 1980. In Domeniconi's upcoming concert, he will perform "Koyunbaba," which he composed in 1985 by going beyond the usual style of classic guitar and making references to the Anatolian saint, Seyit Ali.
The South American guitarist Quique Sinesi will perform on Jan. 14, the world famous Hungarian guitarist and composer Ferenc Snetberger will perform on Jan. 20 and famous guitarist and composer Marek Pasieczny will take the stage with his impressive performance on Jan. 28. The Akbank Art Center concerts will conclude on Jan. 30 with the concert of French composer and guitarist Jean-Baptiste Hardy.
