Preparations continue for the fourth edition of the International Orange Blossom Carnival in Adana. The festival, whose official opening ceremonies will take place on April 9, will run from April 6-10. The officials expect the carnival to attract many domestic and international tourists. The festival is expected to turn the streets of the city into a festival area and several entertaining and cultural activities will take place throughout the carnival. On April 9, the Carnival Cortege will also pass through the main avenues of the city and various well known figures will attend the cortege and salute the people of Adana. Dance performances, concerts, folk dances and band performances, sport matches and individual street performances will take place on the avenues and streets of Adana. Throughout the event, numerous activities will be held at Merkezpark, Şinasi Efendi Avenue, Atatürk Park, Gençlik Square and Gazipaşa Park. Apart from costume, design, short film and photography exhibitions, the carnival will also host a kite festival, a paper place competition, a pony performances and interactive games. The winners of the short film competition, with the motto "Listen Adana from Me," which received applications from 26 amateur and professional film makers, will be announced at the carnival.
