Festival film mourns victims of Srebrenica massacre

Faysal Soysal's documentary film "Kayıp Zamanlar" (Lost Times) will be screened at the Italian Cultural Center as part of the 35th edition of the Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV). "Kayıp Zamanlar" is a documentary recounting the struggles of people who lost their loved ones in the Srebrenica massacre. Hatice Mehmedovic finds the bones of her children, whom she lost, in 1995 after 10 years. Mirsad Duratovic witnessed the murder of every member of his family except for his and his mother's during the massacre in Prijedor. The film follows the stories of people who shared the same fate as Hatice and Mirsad and documents the massacres with archived footage. The film is in Turkish and Bosnian with English subtitles.
