The first solo exhibition from artist İlhan Sayın, whose works are featured in group exhibitions and were published on the covers of several books, is currently on display at DEPO. Having graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Department of Sculpture, Sayın is mostly known for his patterns and collages. His solo exhibition "Looking" is composed of patterns, which he produced over the last two years. Patterns are important as they enable the artist to express himself with limited material, and it suits his need to think and create as quickly as possible. The patterns featured at "Looking" create associations between natural forms, pastoral scenery and scenes formed by discarded objects and goods. Classical nature scenery is disturbed by automobile wheels, wooden cases, discarded mattresses or plastic water bottles. Sayın's solo exhibition "Looking" will be open until June 3 at DEPO, Istanbul.
