'From tradition to future' at int'l puppet festival

Organized under this year's motto "From tradition to the future," the 19th edition of the International Puppet Festival will kick off on Oct. 13. According to the official statement, the festival, which will continue for 17 days, will be launched at the Grand Pera Hotel on Oct. 13. The puppet companies will hold numerous puppet shows, film screenings and workshops. Puppet companies from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Romania, Russia, Chile, Taiwan and Turkey will join forces for the 19th International Puppet Festival in Istanbul. The puppet shows, video screenings and workshops will take place in various venues including cultural centers, theater stages, university halls and Shopping malls.
