Renowned for its events aimed to support arts and artists, Plato Sanat, operating as part of the Plato Vocational School, hosts a new exhibition under the curatorship of Marcus Graf. Investigating the current tendencies of Contemporary Turkish artists in the fields of abstract art, figurative art and research-based art, "The Mystery of Figure" centers on the figure debate in contemporary Turkish cinema.
Focusing on the concepts of abstraction and formalism in the first of the exhibition series "The Power of Form," Plato Sanat brings together eight different artists form different disciplines of art such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and video in "The Mystery of Figure" exhibition in order to present samples from various forms of art. Directed by Ayşegül Çinici Yazıcı, "The Mystery of Figure" reviews different aesthetics, techniques and concepts in the figurative art by showcasing artworks changing between realism, surrealism and abstract. "The Mystery of Figure" exhibition which opened gates on Sept. 29 will stay open at Plato Vocation School in Balat till Dec. 18.
