The St. Petersburg Ballet Theater, one of the most important classic ballet ensembles, will perform "Swan Lake" and "Sleeping Beauty" for Istanbulites once again at the TİMS Show Center. Founded in 1994 by Konstantin Tachkin, the St. Petersburg Ballet Theater enchants ballet lovers with more than 200 performances on six continents every year. The only classical ballet theater that is independent from state and independent sponsorship, the St. Petersburg Ballet Theater features ballet dancers that have graduated from world-renowned dance schools.
The ballet theater found itself in the spotlight following their performances in the most prestigious halls of the world, including the Coliseum and Royal Albert Hall in London, Champs-Elysees Theater in Paris, Bunkamura Hall in Tokyo and National Theater in Beijing. The St. Petersburg Ballet Theater, which has world-renowned choreographies in their repertoire, such as "Don Quixote," "Paquita," "The Nutcracker," "La Bayadère" and "Romeo and Juliet," will perform three of their most applauded choreographies in Istanbul. The performances take place March 9-12.
