Preparedby the Culture and Tourism Ministry's artist Nurten Ünver and her students, the "Women of the Multi-National Ottoman Empire" miniature exhibition has opened its doors to visitors at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) Mustafa Necati Cultural Center in Ankara. The exhibition will feature pictures of 41 female figures who left their traces on Ottoman history.
Speaking to the press, Ünver said the miniature is an art form that is "very detailed." She said that the exhibition is composed of 41 female figures who lived while the Ottomans ruled in three different continents. Claiming that there is huge interest on the art of the miniature, Ünver said, "The miniature is having its heyday in the 21st century. Women especially show great interest in the miniature." The exhibition will remain open until March 12.
