Popular for its educational and creative activities for children, Kanyon Shopping Mall is hosting another project to feed the creativity of children. Kanyon is open to all children who want to experience joyful and educational activities in the summer holiday, and on July 8-9, it will host the GOMYAP workshop. The GOMYAP workshop will serve children who are looking to pass the time over the summer holiday with something creative and productive.
This workshop, which will be conducted in the magical atmosphere of Dotkanyonda, invites children both to enjoy themselves and to learn. The notion of a "game" means to explore, to learn and to express oneself. Children learn by playing games. It is an enjoyable art for children to see what they can create by using a piece of paper and their imagination. It is taking pleasure in what lies at the heart of a game. And pleasure results in the desire to repeat the activity. Then comes mastership.
Mastership then leads to self-confidence and a feeling of success. At the GOMYAP workshop offered by Kanyon, children will see what they can create using just paper. GOM is an educational toy designed for children of six years or more. It consists of paper modules to create and construct 3D forms. The game, which involves the designing of numberless blocks, widens the limits of a child's creativity. At a time when alternative education systems are popular, it helps to improve abilities like motor skills, expressing opinions, spiritual and artistic expression, perception of colors and numbers, cooperation and patience. It aims to support the production of creative ideas and raising ofgenerations who want to use their creative potential and gain the courage to create.
