Turkish female designers mark Women's Day at prestigious event

Istanbul's female designers are gathering to mark Women's Day with an exclusive event at the Four Seasons Hotel Bosphorus today.

Created by the Palm Event, the one-day event "Woman Rocks" is offering a chance to explore local female designers from various fields.

Fashion designer Deniz Berdan is among the guests of the Woman Rocks event. Having started her career as a fashion editor and spending 11 years in publishing, Berdan now runs her brand DB Berdan with her daughter Begüm Berdan. Handcraftsmanship is very important in their designs, along with surreal images. DB Berdan creations are humorous, fun but also fit for a modern lifestyle.

Another fashion designer joining the event is Selma Çilek. One of Turkey's emerging fashion designers, she presents a diverse selection of styles for women who want to be chic with simple, classy outfits.

The next designer that will appear at the Woman Rocks event is Meltem Özbek. She was among the participants of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in 2016. Stepping out with her own style, Özbek continues to reach new fashion heights in new locations.

For jewelry enthusiasts, Juju store created by Özlem Çöllü and Caner Çöllü will display bohemian-chic accessories.

A number of local and international brands will be present at Woman Rocks for guests that want to treat themselves while shopping and enjoying music and food.

The Woman Rocks event kicks off at 12:00 p.m. today and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. free of charge.
