If you follow this advice and lose weight in a healthy way, your body's capacity to burn calories will double compared to before. 1 Change the number of meals you have immediately: You should forget the belief that you should eat more frequently in order to stimulate your metabolism, as it is wrong. According to studies, while eating three main meals and two healthy snacks between those meals accelerates your metabolism, it does not help you burn fat. Thus, eat three main meals and skip snacks if you cannot lose weight. Have your breakfast three hours after you wake up at the latest and eat your lunch five hours after your breakfast. Eating dinner four hours after lunch is another secret to weight loss. Your body will also increase the amount of calories it burns as it recognizes that you are eating three meals a day at certain times.
2 Do not reduce the amount of your meals but increase the duration of your activities: Scientific studies show that the metabolisms of people who are constantly dieting are slower compared to other people. Most people think that eating less and less by the day will help them lose weight; however, this logic does not always work. You should continue to eat the same amount of food as you did before, but create more time for exercising. Long exercise sessions will help you to reach your goal in an easier way. For example, walking for 2 kilometers helps you burn 50 more calories than running for one kilometer. I should note that taking long walks is also the best way to burn fat that accumulates in certain regions of your body.
3 Eat fresh vegetables with your protein-rich meals: If you eat fresh and raw vegetables with protein-based foods, your body burns 60 to 120 more calories following the meal. This vegetable-protein duo will especially help those who are unable lose weight, no matter what they do.
4 Consume yogurt and fresh fruits when snacking.:I prefer setting aside 150 calories each day for snacks when trying to lose weight. Eating anything you like, which happens to equal 150 calories, will help you to get through the weight loss process. However, if you cannot lose weight, I suggest you to skip snacks. Until your body triggers weight loss, you can eat a teacup of homemade or pasteurized yogurt. You can also eat fruits that are rich in fiber such as pears, kiwis or apples.
5 Drink liquids that stimulate a balanced metabolism: There is a recipe for a certain miraculous liquid mix which gets its power from the spices in its recipe.
