The players of Turkish National Football Team had emotional moments when they were served meals cooked by their mothers, along with their videos wishing the footballers success, in a flight ahead of a friendly match.
The advertisement video of Turkish Airlines for Mother's Day was released late Monday. The surprise came in a flight to Austrian capital Vienna on March 27 for the international friendly match against Austria, which followed a camp in Antalya.
The video was titled "Ana Menü," which is a play of words that both mean "main menu" and "mothers" menu in Turkish.
During the normal course of the flight, the captain started his announcement that catering services are about to start, then he said that the food was prepared by mothers of the players, along with their messages.
Mothers of national team players Caner Erkin, Cenk Tosun, Oğuzhan Özyakup, Ozan Tufan, Serdar Aziz and Volkan Babacan were filmed in their kitchens while preparing the food and conveying their messages.
The video has become a huge hit in Turkish social media circles.
Turkey's flag carrier airline is renowned for its rewarded in-flight catering services.
