The European teams in the UEFA Champions League are getting prepared for the group stage matches scheduled for September 13, but Beşiktaş fans are eager and ready for the competition and taking over the internet with support for their team.
Beşiktaş fans are already caught up in the UEFA Champions League rush, using the hashtag #CometoBesiktas, as a challenge to their rivals soon after the group stage draw was announced Thursday, however, Germany's FC Bayern Munich has taken up the challenge.
The Twitter hashtag #CometoBesiktas has become a sensation on the social media platforms with thousands of fans mentioning Monaco, Porto and Germany's RB Leipzig, the Turkish team's opponents in Group G.
The Twitter battle escalated quickly after Bayern Munich's official U.S. account tweeted "We were so ready to #ComeToBesiktas though..." as tweets poured into the reply section of Bayern's message. Beşiktaş fans expressed their eagerness to have a face-off with the German team in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Beşiktaş avoided a confrontation with a strong opponent in the group stage. However, the Turkish team could wind up facing difficulties against RB Leipzig, who finished second in Bundesliga last season.

The group stage kicks off on September 13, and the final is set to be played on May 26 in Kiev, at the Olympic Stadium, which hosted the 2012 European Championship final.
